Was Columbus a Network Marketer?

You’ve thought of getting the word out about your network marketing business BUT you don’t know where to start or if anyone will be interested.

I liken it to Columbus seeking to find funding to explore a new route to India. He had a dream that few if any shared and his dream challenged the very core of modern beliefs. It was no easy task.

Though rejection was the benchmark of his life for years he persevered. In the end he did what few had done and started a trade route with the Americas.

Refection Question: Do you have a relentless drive to accomplish what few have done? Can you identify a few friends or family members who will support your dream?

Planning will reduce frustration. Though some of Columbus’ plans were flawed he did have a plan. He didn’t know the world was twice as big as he estimated.

First you need to identify where you want to go.

Can you imagine taking a trip and not knowing where you are going? Take an inventory of where you are now. What are you interests? What ignites your passions? What do you have a vast knowledge of? What can you talk about for hours? What will this all look like in a year if everything goes according to your dream? This is your destination.

On every trip there are new discoveries and detours. Recently, flying from London to Paris seemed like a no brainer except for a volcano in Iceland that stopped travel for more than a week. Sometimes like Columbus you will end up in a place you never expected but it could be even more satisfying.

Columbus never made it to the Indies. He hit a major roadblock in his journey called the Americas. He took the time to explore his new discovery and in return made a once bankrupt Spain a very rich nation.

Remember to make the most of what is directly in front of you for your network marketing business.

As you begin to answer the questions above you will develop an intuitive picture of what you would like to do. The next step on your journey is how to make that happen? You may already have some ideas. Don’t be afraid to explore those possibilities.
