Your Network Marketing Opportunity Needs a Marketing Funnel
Your network marketing opportunity maybe suffering from a lack of a marketing funnel! Take action to resolve that problem and reap the benefits.OK the holidays are over and you know what people are doing now, don’t you? They are making goals for the New Year. Some are looking for a network marketing opportunity. So the question is, do you have your marketing funnel in place? For those who don’t know what a marketing funnel is, I will be focusing on it for a while. Have you noticed that after you sign up for something online, you continue to receive e-mails from the same company? You have now become part of their marketing funnel. They will continue to send you e-mails, updates and new information until you opt out of their mailing list. One of the best ways to understand what a marketing funnel is to opt in to a company's mailing list. This will give you a wealth of information. Let's look at a few of the benefits of creating a marketing funnel and its mechanics. If you are not collecting your customers’ information for your network marketing opportunity at the point of sale, you are missing out on a fortune. Consider this statistic. Out of 100 post cards sent out maybe you will receive 3 new customers. If you send out the same post card to existing customers, you may expect a 20% response in the form of repeat business. In a brick and mortar business, you can gather that information from sales receipts or sign up forms at the point of sale. You may even want to offer a percentage discount if they sign up. It is not much different online for your network marketing opportunity. You can start collecting marketing information by offering information that will help solve your customers’ problem. The first place you will want to start is with an opt in page. The Opt in Page and How It Works: This is the page that usually has a form that will ask for your name, address, phone number or e-mail. Not all opt in forms ask for all of the above information, but they will ask for your name and e-mail almost every time. There are a couple of companies that produce easy-to-use opt in forms. One of them is called AWeber and another is called Icontact. You can learn more by visiting their sites. Not only do these companies provide easy-to-use opt in forms, but they also provide e-mail marketing and contact management. What do I mean by e-mail marketing? Once somebody has signed up through your opt in form their name and e-mail are put on file for you to use it anytime you wish. This means that over course of time you can have hundreds or thousands of e-mail addresses that you could send e-mails. How powerful is this? If you ever bought anything from Dell computers, almost on a daily basis you receive e-mails with a new product offers. Dell is a master of online marketing. For example, when Twitter first began, they found a way to use Twitter to generate over $1 million in revenue in their first year on twitter. Since then, their revenue has grown even higher through the use of social media and E-mail marketing. One of the ways that they have used it effectively is by offering special offers only through their e-mails or on Twitter. They will do this by offering a special code that can be redeemed when a person places their order. What do I mean by contact management? Contact management through these companies is pretty simple. When somebody opts and to your address list, they are added immediately. If you choose, they will receive an automatic e-mail that gives them information of your choosing. It could be a Thank You e-mail for opting in to your list. It could be an e-mail that offers information on another product you have. So the sky is the limit on what kind of e-mail that will automatically be sent to them. The other nice thing about contact management is that when somebody unsubscribes from your list, they are automatically taken off. This saves a ton of time so that you won't have to go in and manually do it one at a time. In our next post, will focus on the other parts of an opt in page to enhance your network marketing opportunity. So we'll see you then. Live life to the fullest and share your passion, Mark A.
