Who Needs A Coach? Just Ask Tiger Woods.

When it comes to online marketing, there is so much information that it seems like heaven. It is like a kid in a toy store. You may enter in looking at all of the possibilities and be paralyzed by all of the choices.

I am now a grandfather and former preschool teacher and I found that if you give little ones too many choices the end result is information overload, paralysis and frustration. In many cases this will result in a total melt down on your part or your child’s.

Last month I focused on helping you set up your first newsletter. I hope that you found connecting with your business partners and customers encouraging.

I know from experience that coming up with ideas and information can be a challenge. I found that if you are doing all of the work by yourself it is ten times harder. If you have a community of people to support and help you focus on the path you have chosen, you will find it much easier and satisfying.

To use the example above about the toy store, if you could ask others what toys they would recommend and why, your choices would be more informed. You would find that the paralysis and frustration would be next to nothing.

One of the best things I did for my business was to find a group of people that I could bounce ideas off. People that would give me informed feedback and help me focus on the tasks and goals that I set for myself.

Building a support community and objective coaching team could mean working with 1 or 2 coaches. Can you think of a professional that has not had a teacher, coach or mentor?

When I was in college I was on the archery team.

Yeah, I know it was not very glamorous. I started because of a bet with a girl. She challenged me to hit a target. My pride took over and the challenge was on. I took 3 arrows and missed on all three. She took 1 arrow and hit it dead center. Later I found she was on the archery team. She invited me to join the class. Within a year and a half I was ranked 8th in the nation competing with Olympians.

Needless to say, it was not because of natural ability but was a result of great coaching from both our coach and team mates. That year our team placed 1st in the nation. That was pretty darn well for a Junior College competing with 4 year Colleges and Universities.

Coaching made all of the difference.

In business it was no different for me. I looked for a team of people but most importantly a coach that was there for me and wanted to see me succeed. As a result, I have built a site that is ranked in the top 5 percent of sites on the web and I no longer feel like the little kid in the toy store.

What do you think the possibilities would be if you gave me a call and asked me a few questions?
